Services to the Unemployed
Following on from research conducted by Waterford CDB into the services available to unemployed people in Waterford, a Directory of Services to the Unemployed was published to address the lack of information in this area. Another initiative arising from the research and the 'Services to the Unemployed Working Group' was the development of the Jobs Linkage Programme.
Jobs Linkage Programme
The Jobs Linkage Programme has been developed by Waterford CDB in partnership with FÁS, the Department of Social and Family Affairs, Waterford Area Partnership Board and RAPID, to give long term unemployed people an opportunity to receive training matched with new employment opportunities.
The programme, which is delivered by FÁS and the Local Employment Service, works with future investors to identify job opportunities and matches training to these opportunities.
An overview of the Jobs Linkage Programme is attached.
For further information on the Jobs Linkage Programme, please contact Claire Hartley on 051-849869 or chartley@waterfordcity.ie
Economic Profile of Waterford City
